About SPP Choir

Welcome to our blog 🙂

We’re members of SPP Choir and we sing at the Saturday 5:30pm evening Mass (Ordinary Form) at the Church of Sts. Peter & Paul, Singapore.

We continue to learn from the wisdom of the Council Fathers, Popes, and Prefects (Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments) from the wealth of documents that have been made available for our understanding in the treatment and approach to the liturgy.

Some reading may be required to arrive at an understanding of how the Church Fathers would have us prepare for the liturgy of the Holy Eucharist. You may find information in the documents listed on the Catholic Liturgical Library.

We are an amateur Choir, but we seek to practice with excellence the arts and the discipline of Choral singing to accompany the liturgy with an appreciation of the rich traditions and authentic Catholic celebration of the Mass.

If you like what we endeavour to achieve, a little encouragement would go a long way in keeping our spirits up. Feel free to come up to us and say “hi” after the Mass. And you are most welcome to enquire with us about being a part of our community.

Practices are on Saturdays 3:30pm – 5pm, Room 7, 2nd floor of the parish community building.
